Glass Stillages and A-Frame Racks
STPG glass stillages — also known as A-frame racks in the US — are static steel transport solutions for windows, doors and glass elements. Unlike trolleys, stillages have no castors. As a result, a forklift or HIAB crane moves them between locations. For that reason, they suit external transport, long-term storage and high-volume distribution.
Stillage configurations: A-frame, L-frame and variants
The range covers every common configuration on the market. For doors with transoms, facade glass and insulated glass units (IGUs), the A-frame stillage (type A, 200×90×220 cm) does the job on a double-sided structure. A single-sided alternative, on the other hand, is the L-frame stillage (type L, 100×80×110 cm). Consequently, it sits flush against walls and minimises warehouse floor space.
Tall and heavy-duty L-frame variants
For taller elements, the L3 (160 cm) and LW (210 cm) variants are available. When heavy technical doors and uneven construction terrain come into play, however, the L4 is the right fit. High-bay warehouses with PVC and aluminium window production lines, on the other hand, call for the L5 — geometrically configured for level industrial floors.
Folding, stackable and locking stillages
For return logistics, folding stillages dramatically increase trailer capacity on empty return runs. The small, medium and large folding variants, in turn, cover everything from standard casement windows up to oversized sliding doors.
Stackable stillages (LP series and AP) allow double, triple or quad stacking on a single trailer. As a result, you get higher loaded capacity within the same trailer footprint. Locking stillages, finally, add a front-closing mechanism. Therefore, they secure loads on uneven terrain and during heavy braking.
Construction, materials and finishing
Every STPG stillage is welded from certified structural steel using the MAG 135 process (EN ISO 4063). Additional rear-frame bracing prevents frame deflection under full load. Equally, temperature-resistant rubber (not EPDM) protects glass and finished surfaces. For outdoor use, hot-dip galvanising is available instead of RAL paint.
Lifting points and accessories
Forklift pockets come as standard on every unit. HIAB crane lifting points, moreover, are welded in on request and configured to your specific crane model. Above all, every product is backed by a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty.
Industries and order process
STPG supplies stillages to window and door manufacturers, glass processing plants and construction logistics operators across Europe. At order, we configure dimensions, finish and accessories to match your working environment.
