Glass Transport Trolleys for Windows and Doors

STPG transport trolleys — also known as glass dollies in the US — are wheeled steel structures for moving windows, doors and glass sheets across production floors and warehouses. Polyamide castors come in three configurations: swivel for full 360° manoeuvring, fixed for linear travel, or swivel with brake for parking security during loading. As a result, one operator can safely move a fully loaded trolley on level floors without a forklift.

Trolley types: A-frame, L-frame and raised variants

The range covers every workflow on the production floor. The A-frame trolley (type A, 200×80×200 cm) handles double-sided loading at high volumes. Consequently, it suits wide halls and operations requiring simultaneous access from both sides. The L-frame trolley (type L, 100×80×160 cm), on the other hand, has a compact base. For that reason, it manoeuvres in aisles from 120 cm and fits space-constrained warehouses.

Raised L-frame trolley for taller elements

The raised L-frame trolley (180 cm tall, 120 cm long), moreover, handles entrance doors without transoms and windows up to 170 cm tall.

Specialist trolleys: harp and sorting

The harp trolley is purpose-built for cut glass sheets straight from cutting lines. Horizontal strings, instead of a solid rear frame, allow glass insertion at any height without catching.

Equally, the sorting trolley is configured to specific PVC, aluminium or steel profile cross-sections. As a result, profiles go directly from the saw into trolley sections by order. In turn, this eliminates double handling and saves several hours per day at high volumes.

Construction, materials and finishing

Every STPG trolley is welded from certified structural steel using the MAG 135 process (EN ISO 4063). Forklift pockets and HIAB crane lifting points come as standard on most variants. Above all, the structure carries full load capacity with rear-frame bracing that prevents deflection under heavy loads. Temperature-resistant rubber (not EPDM), moreover, protects glass and finished surfaces during movement.

Finish, warranty and order configuration

Available in RAL paint or hot-dip galvanised finish, every STPG trolley carries a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty. At order, we configure dimensions, castor type, lifting points and finish based on your specific working environment.
